Explore Antony Gormley’s labyrinthine sculptures with his new exhibition Fit at White Cube Bermondsey.
The artist is configuring the gallery into 15 chambers to create a labyrinth, where visitors can choose to wander through differently-sized and uniquely-lit spaces.
Exhibition highlights include expansive installation Sleeping Field, which is composed of nearly 600 small iron sculptures. At first glance, the work resembles an urban landscape of high- and low-rise buildings, but up close, the forms show hundreds of bodies at rest.
In Passage, Gormley creates a 12m-long tunnel, whose shape is modelled on the human form, offering a journey into the unknown.
Fit is the sequel to Gormley’s exhibition Model, held at the gallery in 2012.
